Easy, Breezy Account Lead Conversion

Salesforce.com users can convert leads one at a time but it would be great if they could convert multiple, similar leads (associated to the same Account) at once. Today there are a few solution out there but none of them perform a check to find similar Leads. We want to make this process as painless as possible.

REQUIREMENTS

Create this Visualforce page and controller that allows the user to search for Leads by keyword. The user would type in a keyword ("acme") and it would return all Leads where the name contains "acme" or the address contains "acme" or the email address contains "acme". The user will be presented with a checkbox next to each returned Lead (plus a “Check All” option) so that they can select matching Leads. The will also be required to enter a new Account name for the converted Account. Once they submit the form, it would create a single account for all selected Leads, a Contact for each selected Lead and an Opportunity for each selected Lead.
 
Example, the user selects 3 matching Accounts and submits the form. The result would be one Account and 3 Contacts and 3 Opportunities attached to the new Account. The user will then be redirected to the details page for the newly created Account.
 
Must have adequate test coverage (90%+).

SUBMISSION DETAILS

Upload all your source code as a zip (you can simply zip up your Eclipse project for convenience) and provide any documentation and/or instructions that are needed. Please be clear and concise with any setup instructions.
 
An SWF/Youbute video of your application is required. A unmanaged package would also be appreciated.

Your submission will be judged by a panel of peers based upon this criteria. If you would like to request an extension, please read Can challenge deadlines be extended for more time? on our FAQ. We do not want to grant extensions unless there is a valid reason.

I would suggest returning up to 50 or so records. No need for pagination.

You can either skip checking for the address completely or simply search the street field. Thanks!

In example it is given that the user selects 3 matching Accounts , so do we have to search Leads as well as Accounts?

Is the search criteria a rigid requirement? Will I lose points if providing the ability to search with 4 separate boxes so that they can mix and match key terms?

@Jeff : Do we need to always create a new account on submission of a form as we might have similar account already created ?

Does this mean that along with the search criteria , we pick leads which have the same company name 2.While creating an account for the matching leads, do we need to pass primary information like Phone number and Address from any of the matching leads ?
