Opa Developer Challenge
The Opa Developer Challenge's objective is to develop an application with Opa, the new open source framework for JavaScript. It is also to enable the developers to keep on working on it once the challenge is over thanks to awesome and useful prizes; and maybe even create a start-up. If you wish, your code will remain confidential -- the judges and admins will only access it for the purposes of administering and scoring the challenge.
The theme of the application is entirely up to the participant's creativity. However, if your application uses the Box API, you are also eligible to win the special prize: a 5-seat enterprise Box account for life*.
Top prize is a $5,000 Amazon Web Services coupon, 2nd prize is a one month free café membership at
NextSpace, and 3rd prize is an Amazon Kindle Fire. In addition,
the first 100 participants who submit a fully-working app will be rewarded with a $50 AWS coupon (limit of one coupon max per person).
PLEASE NOTE: All prizes will be fulfilled by the sponsor of this challenge (MLstate, the creators of Opa) and their partners.
REQUIREMENTS
Any app is acceptable, so use your creativity to come up with the best app to show off the ultimate framework for JavaScript, Opa
You MUST host your app on Amazon Web Services. To request access to their free tier, go to http://aws.amazon.com/free
If you wish to be considered for the Box prize, please mention that you are using the Box API in the comments field when you upload your files or submit your URL.
SUBMISSION DETAILS
Submit the URL for your live app. If it requires any credentials, be sure to provide them in the comments for your submission.
Upload all your source code as a zip and provide any documentation and/or instructions that are needed. Please be clear and concise with any setup instructions.
A video of your application using Jing or Youtube would also be helpful but not required.
Your submission will be judged by a panel of peers based upon this criteria. If you
would like to request an extension, please read Can challenge deadlines be extended for more time? on our FAQ. We do not want to grant extensions
unless there is a valid reason.

What is Opa?
Opa is the ultimate framework for JavaScript.
JavaScript is becoming the universal language, with technologies such as Node.js and MongoDB. Entire, modern applications can now run JavaScript from end-to-end. JavaScript and Node.js are outstanding but there is still a major problem to solve: Node.js hangs and faces bugs + safety issues.
The solution is Opa, the ultimate enterprise framework for JavaScript. Thanks to its code verification and its code automation, create a web app is simpler, safer, more secure and it considerably reduces the risks of XSS attacks or SQL injections for instance. Your code is much shorter, much better and much safer.
